Nobody knows quite how to spend the holidays like six New Yorkers, an office in Scranton, some angst-ridden teens in Orange County and a dysfunctional family living in a model home. With the freezing cold and all the stores closed today, it’s time to settle in and watch the top five holiday themed episodes sure to bring some cheer.
#1 The One With The Routine (Friends)
You’d think that watching Monica and Ross’s choreographed dance would get old, but it never does. The two perform the routine (which once received honorable mention in the Brother-Sister dance category) for “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” In another memorable moment, Joey spills water on his date stealing nemesis, Tall Guy, and then reports him to the director for wetting himself.
#2 The Chrismukk-huh? (The OC)
I know, I know…it’s a little controversial not to pick the first Christmakah episode. But in the spirit of the holidays (and not wanting to watch Marissa awkwardly steal an expensive watch and then get very drunk) here’s one of “The OC”‘s more whimsical episodes. Ryan and Taylor enter an alternative universe where Ryan never moved in with the Cohen’s, and everyone’s life has changed for the worse. It’s “Back to the Future” Orange County style, made even more fun by the alternate world’s Summer, who has turned into a regular Newpsie.
#3 A Benihana Christmas (The Office)
It’s tough to pick the best Christmas episode on “The Office,” but Michael’s “bros before ho’s” speech and Dwight explaining the correct way to butcher a goose makes for one of the season’s funniest episodes. Oh yeah, and this is the one that helps reunite Michael and Jan–so it really is a merry Christmas all around!
#4 Afternoon Delight (Arrested Development)
The Bluth’s Christmas party gets a little bit more inappropriate after Gob gives his sexual harassment speech and Michael and Maeby sing “Afternoon Delight” to each other. Also, Ann is in this episode, which automatically makes it a winner. Way to plant, Ann.
#5 Moroccan Christmas (The Office)
I did say that it was tough to pick a favorite. Michael attempts to deposit Meredith at a rehab center…which he quickly discovers is not something he can do without her permission. Other hilarious moments include Andy recounting his Cornell partying days and a very uncomfortable office intervention.

Going to watch that Friends one right now!
